Quick fun for kids

Got a General Admission Ticket online. Kids loved the DUPLO Park Access and Space Mission. It was busy but still fun. Good for a few hours. Easy entry.

Reliable fun, will be back

This was our third visit to the LEGO Discovery Center, and it was just as good as the last two. We always get the General Admission Ticket. The kids always love the Imagination Express Ride and getting to see the Mini World DC Exhibit. It's a consistent experience, the staff are always friendly and the place is clean. No surprises, which is what I like. Already planning our next trip for next month.

Good for families, some minor issues

I purchased the Annual Pass online for my family during a Black Friday sale. The ordering process was straightforward, and I received the confirmation email instantly. When we arrived, scanning the pass was easy, and we got right in. The Hero Zone was a big hit with my youngest, and the older one spent a lot of time at the Creative Workshop Class. The facility was clean, and the staff seemed engaged. My only small gripe was that the LEGO Cafe Food and Drinks were a bit overpriced, which is expected at these places, but still. Overall, a very positive experience and good value with the annual pass.

Birthday party was a hit

We booked a Birthday Party Package for my son's 7th birthday. The online booking process was smooth, and the event coordinator followed up quickly to confirm details. On the day, everything was set up perfectly. The dedicated party room was clean, and the host was fantastic with the kids, leading them through the Build Challenge Arena. The kids also got to enjoy the 4D Cinema Experience. The only slight downside was that parking at Springfield Town Center was a bit confusing to navigate, but we found a spot eventually. The overall experience was excellent, and all the kids had a blast.

Good value for a family day

I bought a General Admission Ticket for my daughter and me. We focused on the Creative Workshop Class and Mini World DC. It was a bit pricey at full price, but I found a deal online that made it much more affordable. The savings helped a lot. The experience felt worth the money I paid.

Fun day for the kids

We went last Saturday with the General Admission Ticket. It was pretty cool, my son loved the NINJAGO Training Camp and building stuff in the Build Challenge Arena. The 4D Cinema Experience was a nice break too. It was a good way to spend a few hours, felt totally worth it for the fun they had.

Anyone know if you can bring snacks or drinks in? My kids are always hungry and I'd rather not buy everything inside.

A Anna 1 month ago
Nah, they're pretty strict about outside food. They have a cafe inside though.

Pretty sure they don't allow outside food. Just drinks maybe, like a water bottle. But yeah, no packed lunches.

Is the annual pass worth it if we're only about an hour away? We might go a few times a year, but not sure if it pays off.

T Tara Vargas 1 month ago
If you go more than twice, it's probably worth it. Especially if you hit a sale on the pass.

I got one for my family and it definitely paid off after just two visits. Plus, you get discounts on stuff inside sometimes.

How long do people usually spend there? Trying to plan out our day in DC and not sure if it's an all-day thing or just a couple of hours.

R Ryan Foster 1 month ago
We usually spend about 3-4 hours. You can definitely make a whole afternoon of it if you eat there and do all the workshops.

I'd budget at least 2-3 hours. More if your kids really get into building or the 4D movie.

What's the best time to go to avoid huge crowds? Thinking weekday vs. weekend, or maybe specific times of day?

R Rosa J. 1 month ago
Weekdays are definitely less crowded. If you go right when they open on a weekday, it's usually pretty chill for an hour or two.

Try a weekday afternoon, not during a school break. Weekends and holidays are usually a zoo.

Thinking of taking my 2-year-old. Is there enough for really little kids to do, or is it more for the older LEGO crowd?

C Colin L. 1 month ago
They have a whole DUPLO area, so your 2-year-old will be fine there. Lots of big blocks and soft play stuff.

My toddler loved it. Honestly, probably more for the younger ones than the big kids, unless they're super into building.
